Visual Field Analysis
Computerised Visual Field Analysis is used to assess the condition and function of your peripheral retina, your optic nerve head and in some cases for early signs of brain damage. The test requires you to use only your peripheral vision to detect small targets.
We use the test primarily to detect Glaucoma. It is also used to find the visual effects from stroke, sometimes in driver’s licenses testing and to help confirm some rarer eye conditions. In most cases the cost of visual field testing is fully covered by Medicare.
